Echodyne exhibiting at CMI

The Construction and Maintenance Institute (CMI) is a non-profit organization that plays a crucial role in bridging the intersection of safety, security, and the physical upkeep of correctional facilities. CMI brings together public employees from federal, state, and local jurisdictions, as well as affiliate members from the private sector, such as architects and engineers, to address the unique challenges of prison and jail design, construction, and maintenance. The annual CMI conference is a key event where members and affiliates collaborate to discuss facility-related safety issues, explore innovative solutions, and improve the overall security and functionality of correctional institutions.

As the threat landscape within correctional facilities evolves, particularly with the rise of drone-based contraband smuggling, Echodyne’s MESA® radar technology offers a critical solution. Traditional perimeter intrusion detection systems are increasingly bypassed by fast-moving, off-the-shelf drones, including those that are invisible to conventional RF-based detection methods. MESA® radar addresses these challenges by providing 24/7 detection of all movement, integrating seamlessly with existing security systems to enhance situational awareness and operational efficiency.
